Raising a Child with ADHD
Being a parent is difficult, and being a parent of a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) presents additional challenges. Children with ADHD struggle to contain their feelings and emotions and are often impulsive, hyperactive, and inattentive. This can affect their performance in school because they may be overstimulated and overwhelmed by the pressure of the classroom. It is important to remember that children with ADHD are not acting out, but have a condition that they cannot necessarily control. For more information about ADHD, visit helpguide.org.
