Free farmer’s market “checks” for low-income seniors in Montgomery County

Free farmer’s market “checks” worth $30 will be distributed by lottery to low-income seniors in Montgomery County on July 9 at 10:00 a.m. The checks are available to Montgomery County residents age 60 years and older whose income is less than $23,107 (family of one).

The checks may be used at farmer’s markets in Montgomery County and participating markets in the District of Columbia until November 1, 2019.

The lottery for the checks will be held at the following locations:

• Elizabeth House, 1400 Fenwick Lane, Silver Spring

  • • Holiday Park Senior Center, 3950 Ferrara Drive, Wheaton
  • • Long Branch Community Center, 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring
  • • Rockville Senior Center, 1150 Carnation Drive, Rockville
  • • Waverly House, 4521 East West Highway, Bethesda
  • • White Oak Community Center, 1700 April Lane, Silver Spring
